The Dawes Plan was the way that the U.S.A decided that it was going to get the worlds economy back on track without losing any of their own money. The Young Plan was brought in to reduce the amount of reparations that Germany had to pay by 3/4. The Germans hated it because it still meant that they had to follow the War Guilt Clause and take all of the blame for the war.
